Summer Training
Through our Summer Training Institute, Notre Dame High School students engage in training in three key areas:
-
Personal development
-
Business Etiquette
-
Entry-level office skills
The Notre Dame High School staff, volunteers, and partnering supervisors teach all incoming students at an intensive two-and-a-half week Summer Training Institute. New students participate in a variety of courses with topics including Business Etiquette, Public Speaking, Positive Attitude, Filing, and Dealing with Downtime. All new students take a final exam to determine their strengths and weaknesses.
The two-week institute concludes with a day trip to Camp Maude Eaton in Andover, MA, where students participate in a "Keys to Success" program that helps them learn team building and other work-related skills during a challenge and ropes course.
The Summer Training Institute is the result of numerous hours of planning among the CWSP staff, corporate sponsors, and volunteers to create and implement a curriculum that prepares all of the students for success at their corporate jobs.
